As Amarillo's population of internationals continues to grow, we see an increasing need to minister to people by making English classes available.

Conversational English Classes
Every week, PBC teaches Conversational English to people who have moved to Amarillo from other countries. These classes help individuals who would like to learn to speak English or improve their English-speaking abilities, while showing them that Christians care. The classes meet on Wednesdays mornings (9:30-11:30 a.m.) or evenings (6:30-8:30 p.m.). Childcare is available for children ages birth through grade 5. Classes follow the public school calendar.

The classes take place in various rooms in building B, and participants should use entrance B1. We place students in either a beginners or intermediate level class according to their ability to speak English. Each class enrolls no more than 10 to 15 students. There is no charge for the instruction, but each student is asked to purchase a book for $7.00.

Last year, students from 30 different countries—including Brazil, Thailand, Taiwan, Bosnia/Herzegovenia, Congo, Somalia, China—enrolled in the classes.

International Sunday School
We offer a Sunday morning Bible study class for internationals in very simple English. The class reaches internationals who want to learn about Christianity and for international Christians who want to speak English. The class meets from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. in Rooms A11 and A13.
